Realtor Code of Ethics

The NAR Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice establishes ethical practices that all Realtors® agree to follow as a condition of their membership. These duties provide a high level of service and professionalism to clients/customers, and are the key factors separating Realtors® from all other real estate practitioners.

All Realtors® are required to complete a minimum of 2.5 hours of approved Code of Ethics training per two-year cycle. The current cycle ends December 31, 2016. Failure to complete the required periodic ethics training is considered a violation, resulting in suspension of membership until training is completed.
