President Ash thanked Governor Minner for signing SB 191 which ensures that homeowners cannot be denied a homeowner's insurance policy for filing a claim or asking questions about their policy coverage. He also thanked the legislation's lead sponsors, Senator Sokola and Representative Longhurst for their hard work on this issue and Commissioner Denn for his dedication and commitment to this issue over the past several years.

President Ash commented, "Thanks to everyone here, homeowners can have the peace of mind that their insurance rates will not go up or policy be terminated simply for inquiring about their coverage, and that their policy will not be canceled solely on the basis of claims against the policy."

The Delaware Association of REALTORS^® applauds the leadership shown by so many who worked to secure passage of SB 191 and protect the rights of homeowners, and again commends Governor Minner for signing the legislation into law.
