As the largest trade association in the U.S., the National Association of Realtors® advocates every day on behalf of the nation’s 1 million Realtors® and 75 million property owners. NAR is widely considered one of the most effective advocacy organizations in the country. The Delaware Association of Realtors® (DAR) follows the same mandate to represent members and protect the rights of property owners and the environment, provide statewide influence on private property issues, and enhance member profitability and professionalism.
The Delaware Association of Realtors® has the responsibility to be informed of government affairs and to engage in political activity at all levels. A nonpartisan approach will be used to support candidates committed to the protection and rights of private property owners and Realtors®. All legislative advocacy efforts should be led and expressed by the Public Policy Committee chair, or the association president in concert with the committee chair and the Government Affairs Director.
Delaware Realtors met with the state’s Congressional delegation at NAR Legislative Meeting in Washington D.C. on May 15.
